When you are young, you may have aspired to be a doctor, lawyer or famous actress. Construction. The stimulus will probably appear through infrastructure spending (streets and bridges) and that will require skilled and unskilled labor. Engineers will be needed to design the roads. Cities and counties will need to hire coordinators to make sure the new roads as well as bridges don’t upset the environment more than is needed. General labour will be hired to construct the brand new roads.

Transportation. The large infrastructure investing will require movement of goods. That means more truck drivers to carry the products from place to place. Trucking was one of the first industries hit when the economic system started declining and will be among the first to rebound. Included in travel are warehouse and logistics personnel.

The poor economy and also our laws against illegal immigration have reduced the unskilled labor pool. It will mean more careers and higher wages for our labor force going forward. If you are willing to step outside the box, these two industries will provide opportunities.
